  • Dr. Morita Facial Masks: Taiwanese Brand with Japanese Skincare Technology
  • Pimple breakouts. Dry and dull skin. Wrinkles. People try different kinds of beauty products and treatments just to get rid of these common skin problems, especially on the face. And yet everything boils down to three simple things: exercise, diet, and hydration. The first two greatly rest on the hands of the individual and how one manages his/her lifestyle. The latter, especially when it comes to skin hydration, is reinforced by one’s choice of skincare regimen.

Dr. Morita is a Taiwanese brand that emphasizes the importance of skin hydration.

One of Asia’s best-selling sheet mask brand, Dr. Morita, has arrived in the Philippines to help people with keeping the skin hydrated and moisturized. Dr. Jou Biotech CEO and Head of Research and Development Dr. Chun Hsu Jou personally came to the Philippines last September 27, 2018, to introduce Dr. Morita, which is a brand under the umbrella of Dr. Jou Biotech. As a skin care brand, Dr. Morita was established in Taiwan in 1934. They started developing Dr. Morita sheet masks with premium ingredients in the year 2000, which is a decade ahead of sheet masks becoming a “trend.”

Dr. Chun Hsu Jou, the third generation of the founding family of Dr. Morita, shares the brand’s story in an exclusive press gathering last September 27, 2018.

Now, Dr. Morita is the best-selling sheet mask in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan and looks forward to the same positive trail in the Philippines. Dr. Morita Hyaluronic Acid Essence Mark has also won the Silver Quality Award from Monde Selection, an independent consumer product evaluating body, this year. The masks are distributed around the world, including Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand.

Dr. Morita Hyaluronic Acid Essence Mask has won recognition for Dr. Morita in the world.

Dr. Morita sheet masks underline the use of Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen which are known to significantly provide a lasting moisture to the skin. These, among other ingredients, are imported from Japan, where Dr. Morita has a research center. Dr. Jou also shared that the sheet masks contain toner, lotion, and serum, which makes it a perfect one-step beauty solution.

There are six variants of Dr. Morita sheet masks now available in the Philippines: Dr. Morita Intense Hydrating Serum Facial Mask, ideal for dry skin types; Dr. Morita Triple Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Essence Facial Mask for anti-aging and brightening; Dr. Morita Whitening & Moisturizing Essence Facial Mask, ideal for sensitive skin types; Dr. Morita Platinum Colloid & Hermatite Extraction Whitening Black Facial Mask for toning, regenerating, and strengthening effects; and Dr. Morita Platinum Colloid & Black Pearl Extraction Moisturizing & Whitening Black Facial Mask for detoxifying and promoting cell renewal and skin elasticity.

The sheet masks are currently available in all Watsons and SM Beauty branches. You can get them in boxes of 10 or per piece at Php 74.

    Pro tips!

    • The ideal application of the mask is 10-15 minutes. Do not exceed the recommended time to avoid “reverse osmosis,” which will make the skin dryer.
    • Gently massage the face after removing the mask for full absorption of the essence. There’s no need to rinse the face.
    • You can use the leftover essence on other parts of your body, such as the neck, elbows, and knees.
    • It is ideal to use the sheet mask before going to bed for a revitalized skin in the morning.
    • Depending on the skin type, it is recommended to use Dr. Morita sheet masks once or twice daily.
