Running for approximately two hours, including a 30-minute intermission, The Nutcracker is suitable for audiences aged three years old and above, making it an option for families, couples, and first-time balletgoers.
Its Manila edition consists of three performances, with the following schedule:
- December 18, 2026 (Friday) – 8:00 PM
- December 19, 2026 (Saturday) – 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM
Set on Christmas Eve, The Nutcracker follows the story of a young girl named Masha, who receives a wooden Nutcracker as a gift. At midnight, her surroundings transform into a magical world where toys come to life, a battle unfolds between good and evil, and an enchanting kingdom awaits.
Accompanied by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s celebrated musical score, the ballet brings the classic Christmas tale to life through elaborate choreography, colorful costumes, and theatrical storytelling.
The production features approximately 40 dancers from the Saint Petersburg National Ballet Theatre, whose principal performance venue is the historic Hermitage Theatre in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Among the featured performers are Oksana Bondareva and Ivan Sitnikov, both associated with the renowned Mariinsky Theatre. The production follows the Vaganova tradition of classical ballet, known for its emphasis on technical precision, expressive movement, and graceful choreography.
Presented by Aurum Entertainment, the production is part of The Nutcracker ASEAN Tour 2026, which also includes performances in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, and Jakarta.
Tickets may be purchased through the official Megatix ticketing page.
