  • Not even a pandemic can stop the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines from putting together its most sought-after annual spectacle for the Korean cineastes!

    With the theme “The Celebrity Spotlight”, the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the Philippines brings the Korean Film Festival 2020 online highlighting some of the biggest stars of Korea. Catch it starting this September 12 until October 2, 2020!

    The Korean Film Festival will run for three weeks featuring films from three of Korea’s biggest stars—Hyun Bin, Son Ye Jin, and Park Seo Joon. All considered being Filipino household names especially during quarantine as their recent series Crash Landing on You and Itaewon Class are a smash hit in the Philippines.

    The screening will open with two films from Hyun Bin, namely The Swindlers and Confidential Assignment. It will run from September 12 to 18 followed by Son Ye Jin’s Be With You and The Last Princess that will be screen on September 19 to 25, 2020.

    Closing the film festival is Park Seo Joon’s Midnight Runners and The Beauty Inside running from September 26 to October 2, 2020.

    Apart from free movies, there will also be special prizes awaiting 10 lucky participants who will be taking the KCC survey. Among the prizes are Kpop albums and Korean cosmetic sets.

    Organized by the Korean Cultural Center and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, the Korean Film Festival 2020 is done in partnership with the Korea Tourism Authority, Viva Films, and Film Development Council of the Philippines.

    The first-ever online Korean Film Festival will be FREE for everyone to watch at phil.korean-culture.org.
