To address the challenges and changes in the food and beverage trade environment, MAFBEX Wired aims to bring its expertise in connecting and supporting brands, associations, professionals, and entrepreneurs into the digital space.

MAFBEX Wired will introduce a spin-off from the familiar MAFBEX activities to the online community while keeping its core and reputation which has been built over the years. With solid support from associations, trusted professionals, and F&B industry experts, this campaign can still equip exhibitors and businesses in the industry with relevant information and potentially garner new operational skills that can help them address certain business challenges they face.

It will also give an opportunity for brands to effectively drive engagement from the community through alternative promotional tactics presented in this month-long campaign. This can be in-form of brand participation and exposure through our planned digital content.

The campaign will start with a series of online activities that aim to provide new information to its stakeholders when it comes to adapting their operations to the changing times. It will be featuring four exciting and informative event highlights, namely:

    MAFBEX Talks

This activity will present topics that will be a good source of information which can serve as a valuable reference and insight to its stakeholders and followers.  MAFBEX Talks will be supported by industry experts through presenting relevant topics and trends ranging from e-commerce, digital marketing, food sustainability, and food safety.

    MAFBEX Basics

Another activity, MAFBEX Basics will feature how-to’s in a short creative idea format.  Each instructional activity can be a step-by-step guide, an explainer, or a trivial list that aims to provide a quick and engaging reference for the community.

    MAFBEX Cooks

Introducing a series of content featuring some of the country’s most well-renowned chefs, MAFBEX Cooks will give us the chefs’ best interpretation of restaurant-grade dishes that can be done at home.

    MAFBEX Mixed

This activity takes on a fresh roster for this edition. World-class talent from the local craft cocktail community will demonstrate how to prepare their original drinks to spice up your chill weekend nights at the comfort of your own space.

MAFBEX Mixed will be featuring one of the world’s best bartenders, Mr. Cedric Mendoza of Grain Bar at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney. To quote him, “I used to attend MAFBEX as a student during my college days, and now I’m one of the main attractions. I’m definitely excited and feel like this is a homecoming of some sort even if I’m far away right now. Overall, I’m happy to be part of this year’s online activity.”

MAFBEX Wired is a preview on what is about to happen for the rest of 2020 for WSI.  As the community looks forward to meeting and engaging with the entire food and beverage industry next year, it is WSI’s ultimate goal to merge two spaces, physical and digital, to give everyone the best support and exposure they can possibly offer.

“We are always at the forefront of innovation and this is the ideal time for us to penetrate the virtual space. Our WIRED series will still keep the core of our physical events but we understand that this is now a game of adaptability and accessibility. What we want to offer is a perfect mix of varied platforms for growth opportunities for the trade industry moving forward.” said Managing Director of WSI Jill Ang.
