  • Catch RuPaul’s Drag Race Werq The World Tour LIVE in Manila
  • Drag Race fans, this is the moment you’ve all been waiting for!

We the Pvblic is bringing RuPaul’s Drag Race: Werq The World Tour to the Philippines for the first time, happening on February 29, 2020 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City.

The tour first hit the road in 2017, featuring drag queens from the Emmy Award-winning reality competition series, RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Present at the Manila leg of the tour will be Drag Race judge—the one and only—Michelle Visage.

Visage has been a regular judge of the show since the third season and has since been a part of the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race and on all the seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.

As a producer of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 11, Visage won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Competition Program.

Joining Visage will be alumni and winners of the show. First up is Kim Chi, who first appeared on season eight of Drag Race where she finished as a runner-up alongside Naomi Smalls. She is most known for being the first South Korean-American contestant on Drag Race.

Kim Chi is also well-loved for the amazing looks and costumes that she showcased during her season and show’s holiday special, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Holi-Slay Spectacular.

Up next is crowd-favorite, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo—or simply Miss Vanjie—who appeared on seasons 10 and 11 of Drag Race.

She first appeared on season 10, where she went home on the first episode but returned in season 11, where she finished at 5th place.

Vanjie is most known for her iconic exit on season 10, where her famous parting words were “Miss Vanjie… Miss Vanjie… Miss… Vanjie.”

Monét X Change, meanwhile, competed on season 10 of Drag Race and won in the fourth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.

An interesting fact about Monét is that she was one of the inspirations of Marvel’s first drag queen superhero, Shade. Much like other Drag Race alumni, Monét is also an accomplished television host and singer.

Joining the line-up is season 11 contestant, Plastique Tiara. She entered the competition with the largest following among her competitors and is the youngest to participate in her season.

Plastique mixes her drag with Asian culture and claims to represent the new generation of drag. During her time on Drag Race, Plastique was one of the season’s front-runners with her beautiful and stunning looks.

Further, Violet Chachki won Drag Race’s season seven and has since become one of the most iconic queens on the show—not just because of her astounding performance on the show but also because of her activities after winning up to the present.

Apart from her career as a drag queen, Chachki is also a recording artist, model, and burlesque dancer.

Aquaria joins the line-up for the Manila leg of Werq the World. She is one of the youngest queens to ever win RuPaul’s Drag Race and the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar.

She and Violet Chachki were the first drag queens to walk the Met Gala’s red carpet. In the Philippines, she’s known as the first drag queen to become a model for the SM Store.

Lastly, expect the reigning queen of RuPaul’s Drag Race and the victor of the recently concluded season 11, Yvie Oddly. She began her career as a drag queen in 2012.

At present, Yvie is also a fashion designer and a singer. This year, she was named as one of the 100 Most Powerful RuPaul’s Drag Race Queens in America by New York Magazine.
