You might have noticed how RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni have been visiting the Philippine shores in the past few months. Well, this November, another queen is set to take the stage—only this time, it’s Manila Luzon’s homecoming!
Pink Donut Asia is bringing one of Drag Race’s most loved queens for La Reyna Manila Luzon: The Homecoming Concert this November 10, 2019 at XYLO at The Palace Manila.
Manila Luzon is the Drag Queen persona of Karl Westerberg, one of the few Filipino-Americans who have appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Her first time on the show was during Season 2, where she finished in second place.
She later appeared in RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, where she competed in a team with another Drag Race royalty Latrice Royale. Her last appearance on Drag Race was when she finished in sixth place during All Stars 4.
After Drag Race, she appeared on the spin-off show RuPaul’s Drag U (Drag University), as well as on numerous campaigns for This Free Life, Orbitz, Absolut, and Nine West. She has also established her own brand called Fineapple Couture, which includes books, collectibles, and accessories.
Luzon is also a musician, with 10 singles, an album, mixtape, and six extended plays. She has also appeared in eight other songs by other drag queens.
