Big Bang’s Seungri Returns to Manila This 2019
Big Bang’s very own Lee Seung-hyun, or better known by his stage name Seungri, is returning to Manila for a solo concert this 2019!
The youngest member of the famous South Korean boyband will, once again, have the chance to meet his fans in the Philippines–this time, through “The Great Seungri Tour” on January 19 at MOA Arena in Pasay City.
The tour is to support his first Korean studio album, which was released last July 2017.
Seungri, with great tenacity to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, has undoubtedly been loved by many fans across the world.
It was in the mid-2000s when Seungri rose to prominence as one of the three vocalists of Big Bang under YG Entertainment, which has eventually hailed among the best-selling boy bands worldwide.
Branching out to develop a solo career, Seungri joined in a musical with Sonagi in 2008. He also ventured into hosting for MBC’s music program Show! Music Core.
Seungri also starred in films such as Nineteen and Why Did You Come to My House?, both released in 2009.
In 2011, he managed to release a first extended play (EP), called V.V.I.P., which includes his top two singles: “VVIP” and “What Can I Do”. This album has also debuted at number one on the Gaon Album Chart.
Seungri went on exploring other ventures like opening a music and dance academy called “Plug In Music Academy,” also known as “Seungri Academy”. Also, the singer has recently opened a VR theme park in Singapore, founded a record label, and invested in other businesses.
In May 2018, Seungri announced his first solo tour, The Great Seungri, with a stop in South Korea and Japan.
