  • Now on its 10th edition, the MaArte Fair, organized by the Museum Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. (MFPI), highlights the men in our lives by creating a Pinoy Man Cave. Bazaar lovers can look forward to the return of their favorite tradition: the annual MaArte Fair, to be held from August 10 to 12, 2018 at The Peninsula Manila in Makati City.

The 10th edition of the MaArte Fair promises to be more interesting this year. The annual fundraising event opens on August 10 at The Gallery of The Peninsula Manila, as the range of products and accessories will be more “inclusive” with rare items that will be interesting for the Filipino Gentleman.

According to Albert Avellana, President of the Museum Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. (MFPI), the move to invite exhibitors offering unique finds for men was due to an observation that a lot of husbands and boyfriends attending previous fairs just ended up holding shopping bags for their partners.

MaArte at the Pen’s “PinoyManCave” will feature a mix of fashion and accessories for men by MaArte Fair exhibit regulars and newbies

The Pen’s second-floor meeting rooms will take on the role of MaArte’s #PinoyManCave. Inside, expect to find exhibitors who will come out with special product lines just for men: Len Cabili’s Filip+Inna, Jojie Lloren for La Herminia Piña, Creative Definitions, Balay ni Atong, Natalya Lagdameo, and TDLG (Tweetie de Leon Gonzales).

The ladies, of course, can enjoy a wide selection of apparel, jewellery, accessories, fragrances and home decor, with exhibitors such as Mich Araullo, Randy Ortiz, Gifts & Graces, Aranaz Bags, Micki Olaguer, Antukin, Two Chic, Oscar Mejia Fragrances, Stockton Row, Tim Tam Ong, Beyond Borders, and many, many more.

Alongside the annual fundraiser, which is open to the public free of charge, the MFPI will also hold MaArte Talks, a series of conversations with select business owners who can offer new entrepreneurial tips and insights. Tea lovers can also partake in MaArTEA, the special Afternoon Tea served by The Pen in partnership with MFPI and Tsaa Laya.

As a volunteer-led organization, the MFPI continues its advocacy this year of showcasing unique Filipino craftsmanship and design through MaArte, in order to continue its support for the National Museum.
