Ang Huling El Bimbo The Musical: A Trip Down Memory Lane
Do you remember the first time you made friends and had your childhood crush? Those were the good ‘ol days when you’d walk around the hallway with your friends listening to a bunch of classic OPM songs from your MP3 players while teasing about each other’s crushes.
The friendship you built and the songs you shared back then, will always hit close to home as it brings back the days when life was so much better with friends and music. This year, Resorts World Manila with Full House Theater Company (FHTC) takes you to a nostalgic trip down memory lane as they bring you the soundtrack of your life, featuring the hit 90s songs of the iconic band, Eraserheads.
Ang Huling El Bimbo: The Musical is an all-original production, stitching classic songs together to tell a story of friendship and their journey towards discovering the power of their bond and the impact of it to their lives.
Fans will be ecstatic as the production will feature at least 30 to 40 Eraserheads songs. Although they can’t expect the songs to be sung in its entirety, the production promises not to disappoint the fans. After all, their priority is delivering a story through music and not the other way around.
Written by Dingdong Novenario and directed by Dexter Santos, the musical will be tackling social issues such as economic problems, gender inequality, and other personal challenges, featuring a stellar cast from new thespians to the veterans. Familiar theater names, Tanya Manalang, Topper Fabregas, Boo Gabunada, Reb Atadero, Sheila Francisco, Jon Santos, Oj Mariano, and Gian Magdangal will be playing the major roles.
Ang Huling El Bimbo opened last July 20, 2018 and will be running until September 1, 2018 on selected dates only. See link for full schedule. Meanwhile, children under 13 years old should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
