TedX Forward Pilipinas Happening on July
Curiosity killed the cat but not the human mind. For us, knowledge is power and that is exactly what TED talks are for. With a new TEDx talk in the metro brewing, there is an electric buzz that awakens many busy bees in their thirst for knowledge and inspiration. On July 14 at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier at Taguig, TEDx Forward Pilipinas will talk.
TED (technology, entertainment, design) conferences are a platform for “engaging, charismatic speakers whose talks expose new ideas that are supported by concrete evidence and are relevant to a broad, international audience.” Following their explanation, TEDx are independent satellite conferences organized to showcase speakers presenting great, well-formed ideas in under 18 minutes. There have been many TEDx talks in the country but this one upcoming event will surely be the talk of the town.
The Facebook page for TEDx Forward Pilipinas has recently announced the start of registration as well as two guests. If that is not enough to get you going, let us unveil their announced speakers that have been breaking grounds from day one:
First up is Maria Ressa, CEO of Rappler.com. “Learn from one of Asia’s best journalists who is currently the CEO of Rappler.com. She was CNN’s lead investigative reporter who focused on terrorism in Southeast Asia and also managed over 1,000 journalists of ABS-CBN News and Current affairs.” With the woman who revolutionized Philippine’s social news network, TEDx Forward Pilipinas starts to get interesting and worthwhile to attend to. Thankfully, registrations are already open.
The handsome chef of Hey Handsome, Nicco Santos will replace the knife in his hands to a microphone. He is one of the most talented chefs who despite the lack of formal culinary schooling was able to bring unique concepts in the food industry. Is he going to tell you about what he has done, learned, or experienced? The only way to find out is to register and come to Samsung Hall.
