  • Met Opera in HD 5 is coming to an end as it showcases Der Rosenkavalier at Greenbelt 3 Cinema 3 in Makati City. This May 8, 2018, catch the 4-hour, 30-minute comic opera by Richard Strauss to an original German libretto by Hugo von Hofmannsthal in high definition.

    Featuring Renée Fleming as the Marschallin, Elīna Garanča as Octavian, Günther Groissböck as Baron Ochs, Erin Morley as Sophie, Markus Bruck as Faninal, and Matthew Polenzani as a Singer, Der Rosenkavalier (Knight of the Rose/Rose-bearer in English) is composed of three acts. Act I starts with Octavian, a count, introduced as the 17-year-old lover of Marschallin.

    The Metropolitan Opera of New York released the MetOpera in HD as a series of screenings of their latest productions. The Cultural Center of the Philippines, The Filipinas Opera Society Foundation, Inc. and Ayala Malls Cinema gives you the latest operatic performance of the Metropolitan Opera of New York as they use a high-definition video and audio to get a full experience of their performances.
