  • The yearly celebration of French cuisine is back—the Gout de France in the Philippines takes the center stage once again as traditional French meals are to be prepared by the world’s finest chefs.

Happening on March 21, 2018, Goût de France/Good France will have selected chefs from the Philippines cook a French dinner in their respective establishments. The menu shall follow the traditional French meal with French wines and spirits. Philippines will have 18 chefs to prepare the said dinner for the public which include aperitif with finger food, starter, main course/s, cheese platter, and dessert.

Goût de France/Good France was launched in 2015 by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and French chef Alain Ducasse. The event aims to showcase the excellence of French cuisine that unites all people through food. According to the Embassy of France in Manila, the concept is inspired by French culinary artist Auguste Escoffier’s “Epicurean Dinners,” which serves the same menu on the same day for guests in several cities.

A special private dinner shall also be held at the French Ambassador’s residence on the evening of March 21.
