2nd Philippine Cinema Sessions
Yabang Pinoy will be presenting the 2nd Philippine Cinema Sessions on September 9-10, 2017 at the Globe Tower in Taguig City. The session includes a series of discussions and talks about filmmaking, as well as the current condition of Philippine Cinema. The said event will also tackle other elements like the importance of addressing various social issues in films and how it affects future production of local films.
Founded in 2005, Yabang Pinoy is a non-government organization that advocates for volunteers to live passionate and meaningful Filipino lives by spreading positivity and being socially-aware by promoting positive social change. Yabang Pinoy hopes to instill nationalism in every Filipino and spread awareness on the greatness of being a Filipino. The organization also hopes to influence the public to spread words about thinking Filipino
The 1st Philippine Cinema Sessions was held on September 10-11 last year at O2 Space Solutions in Makati City where topics such as ‘’How to Thrive in the Current State of the Philippine Cinema’’, ‘’Films as Paragon of Social Change’’, and ‘’Film and Filipino Pride’’. These topics were discussed by distinguished individuals from the filmmaking industry.
