#NextPH Social Media Day 2017
#NextPH Social Media Day 2017 will be held this coming July 1, 12 p.m., at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura Premier, BGC. The free-admission event is led by Tweetup Manila, a community of social media-passionate netizens that have been holding Twitter Meetups (TweetUps) since 2009.

#NextPH will prompt a “virtual passing of the baton and changing of the guard,” which aims to shift the focus on the digital natives of today’s generation. They are the young, tech savvy and empowered individuals who are expected to take charge of social media, the web, and the society.
The event will be heavy with prominent and influential people in today’s society starting from the show hosts. The event will be hosted by Michelle Manese, a spoken word poet, and Mark Ghosn, a spoken word artist who is recently known for his very witty “Kris as…” written monologue series on social media.
Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Judy M. Taguiwalo will grace the event as the keynote speaker, tackling compassion and social good. Philippine Leader of Livestrong Foundation, Dr. Gia Santos meanwhile will talk about mental health issues.

Also in the line-up of speakers are Maisara Damdamun-Latiph (Bangsamoro Transition Commission), Ridvan Baluyos (Senior Software Engineer, OLX), Nash Tysmans (writer, teacher and community worker), Chichi Tullao (food stylist and visual storyteller, Happy Tummy Travels), Toto Madayag (web comic artist, Libreng Komiks), Wanggo Gallaga (writer, filmmaker and HIV advocate), Phil Smithson (Design Thinking Specialist and owner, On-Off Group), and Noel Escondo and Arvin Kadiboy (Directors, short film Nakaw).
There will also be performances from SoundCloud artists of CollaboratoryPH and improv group Spit.
