‘Alfonso Ossorio: Grazing Light’ at Leon Art Gallery April 21 to May 12
Leon Art Gallery/INTERAKSYON
Internationally known Filipino-American artist, Alfonso Ossorio, will feature his Grazing Light exhibit at Leon Art Gallery on April 21-May 12.
His exhibit will feature some of his representative works from 1942-1989, including Filipino houses, some of his early drawings, and colorful abstract paintings. The emerging Fil-Am artist’s works were direct on reflections of how he felt at the time of each piece’s creation.
Ossorio grew up and studied in England and the U.S., and is among the first artists from the school of abstract expressionism, a modern movement that started in New York City. Currently, his biggest work is permanently displayed at the sanctuary centerpiece at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Victorias, Negros Occidental.
Curatorial guided tours are by appointments only.
