Manila Transitio 1945
In remembrance of “The Battle of Manila” which happened on February 1945, the Intramuros Administration, #vivamanila, and Carlos Celdran will be hosting Manila Transitio in its eighth year. Happening on February 26 at the Baluarte de San Diego in Intramuros, Manila, people may not only dine, relax, and celebrate a day of art and music, but also remember the devastations and the lives that were lost during the historical battle. It aims to recognize the “city’s changes; Manila’s transitions, from what it was, to what is, and to what it can possibly become in the future.”

Following this year’s them, “Folk Art. Folk Traditions. Folk Music”, Manila Transitio will be defined by a public picnic and an art exhibition featuring the works of artists: Russ Ligtas, Martin Lorenzo De Mesa, Jodee Aguillon, and many others. Music by the “Tres Marias,” consisting of Bayang Barrios, Cookie Chua, and Lolita Carbon will also be highlighted in the said event. Food by XO1946, Edgy Veggy, and Public School/Kalsada Coffee will also be present in the event.
Everyone is encouraged to bring their friends, family, and even their pets to the said event. There wouldn’t be any dress codes, but it is encouraged for people to cosplay and to wear Filipiniana attires.
The best part of the event? There wouldn’t be any specific entrance fee for the event as it will be following the “Pay what you can” policy.
