The Million Volunteer Run is a nationwide fun run held by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) since 2011. Its main purpose is to complete the PRC’s extensive network of volunteers, making sure it reaches 1 million.
It doubles as a humanitarian mission to awaken the spirit of volunteerism in the country. With the Philippines under constant threat from typhoons, earthquakes, and other natural disasters, it is only fitting that the biggest organization that deals with calamity response be given its chance to gather more volunteers.
