Enjoy one of Japan’s most famous festivals, Summer Matsuri, at the Tamashii Convention!

Now on its third year, Tamashii Con, or TamaCon, is a cultural convention that focuses on Japanese culture. It is organized by Nihon Kenkyuu Kai (日本研究会), a professional organization for the De La Salle University Japanese Studies majors and other members of the community.

Experience Japanese culture right here in the Philippines! Make a wish at the Omikuji and Ema booths. Show your skills at the Target Game and Kingyo Sukui. View the different display exhibits prepared by special partners, such as the OtaKai Figure Society. Feeling tired and peckish? Escape the excited crowd and drop by TamaCon’s popup cafe for some coffee, tea and other treats!

There will also be a number of shows and competitions to watch out for: the Kawaii Philippines Fashion Show, a Cosplay Competition, a JPop Idol Competition and live performances from Asterysk*, Strange Orange, Veralia, Hoshi to Sora and Dimension Lines! Learn more about the culture we all love by listening to Dr. Benjamin San Jose during his talk entitled “The Shojo in Japanese Pop Culture: Hayao Miyazaki and its Resonance to the Philippine Social Experience.”

Witness all these and more on March 28, 2015 at the SMX Convention Center! Tickets are at Php250, but get them for only Php200 until March 20! Order your tickets here and see you there!
