    Pasinaya, CCP’s annual open house festival and the biggest multi arts festival in the Philippines, returns this year with something new: the ASEAN touch!

    This year’s theme, Pasinaya Grows ASEAN Wings, celebrates unity in diversity through the different performing arts. Witness the performances of thousands of artists and cultural groups not only from the Philippines but from various ASEAN countries as well as delegates from the ASEAN Performing Arts Market feature works by both emerging and seasoned ASEAN artists. The ASEAN Performing Arts Market, opening tomorrow, February 13, will also showcase performance samplers and business matching of such performances within the ASEAN region and with the world.

    Dance, music, theater, film, literary and the visual arts will be featured in different areas and venues of the CCP. Exhibits and performances will also be shown in partner institutions as well: The Metropolitan Museum, Museo Pambata, National Museum, Rizal Park, NCCA Gallery, Casa Manila, Bahay Tsinoy, 1335 Mabini Gallery, Museo Marino and College of St. Benilde Museum of Contemporary Art and Design. Aside from these performances, there will be other activities, such as workshops, lecture-demonstrations, film screenings, exhibits and storytelling sessions.

    Pasinaya is presented by the Cultural Center of the Philippines and is headlined by the CCP’s own resident companies, namely Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, the UST Symphony Orchestra, Ballet Philippines, Philippine Ballet Theatre, Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group, Bayanihan Philippine National Folk Dance Company, NAMCYA, Philippine Madrigal Singers and Tanghalang Pilipino.For more information, please call CCP Production Management Services Division at tel. no. 832-1125 local 1600 and 1606.
