\u201cSerene & Green\u201d is the slogan of Majayjay Bed & Breakfast<\/strong> and not only does it sound good, it\u2019s eerily accurate. This is a place that\u2019s at the foot of Mt. Banahaw and beside a babbling brook. That means, you can admire a beautiful mountain in front of you as you listen to the relaxing sound of running water. How many other bed and breakfasts can offer you the same?<\/span><\/p>\n

RELAXING WHILE DINING. This is the view from the dining area in the main house of Majayjay Bed & Breakfast.<\/em><\/p>\n

Admittedly, there isn\u2019t much to do while you\u2019re here. There aren\u2019t any establishments within walking distance so if you don\u2019t want to spend extra for lunch and dinner, it would be better to bring your own food and drinks. But there is an advantage to this\u2013there are no distractions.<\/span><\/p>\n

If it\u2019s been difficult for you to finish that novel you\u2019re reading, this is the perfect place to do it. The main house has several areas where you can sit comfortably as you drink coffee and read your book.<\/span><\/p>\n

COZY AND TRADITIONAL. The main house is decorated with traditionally designed Filipino furniture, made with native materials such as bamboo and rattan.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re more interested in the outdoors, there\u2019s a path beside one of the houses that leads you to the previously mentioned babbling brook. You can take a quick dip or continue hiking; just make sure you bring the right clothes and footwear.<\/span><\/p>\n

COOL, RUNNING WATER. If it’s particularly sunny when you’re here, this water would definitely be inviting!<\/em><\/p>\n

At night, Majayjay Bed & Breakfast offers to do a bonfire for you and your group. The purpose of the bonfire is two-fold: so you can keep warm; and be able to roast hot dogs and marshmallows.<\/span><\/p>\n

After a good night\u2019s rest, you\u2019re served a traditional Filipino breakfast at the main house. This usually consists of garlic rice, cured beef, grilled fish, bread and white cheese. For drinks, they have fresh orange juice and of course, Barako<\/em> coffee. Something they offer that you won\u2019t find in other bed and breakfasts is their omelette. It\u2019s made with eggs and a kind of edible fern called Pako<\/em>, which is famously from this area of Laguna.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you have your own transport and are in the mood for exploring, there are many interesting sites that you can drive to within a few minutes. There are churches, waterfalls, local restaurants and Liliw, a town famous for its many shops that sell shoes and sandals. The staff of Majayjay Bed & Breakfast is really helpful so feel free to ask them anything that\u2019s on your mind.<\/span><\/p>\n
