Built only three decades after the Molo Church was constructed, Jaro Cathedral is one of the oldest churches in Iloilo and is also a great spot for people who are fond of architecture, history, and sightseeing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6598\" src=\"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/12\/IMG_3522.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If Molo Church is the \u201cfemale church,\u201d Jaro Cathedral is the \u201cmale church\u201d because of the male saints that stand on the two rows of pillars inside the church. One female, however, reigns over the cathedral \u2013 the Lady of the Candles. A 400-year-old image of Mother and Child can be found at the fa\u00e7ade, over the entrance of the church and is believed to be miraculous.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6599\" src=\"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/12\/IMG_3525-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/12\/IMG_3525-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/12\/IMG_3525-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/12\/IMG_3525-1-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Another unique feature of Jaro Cathedral and a well-known landmark is the belfry, also called Campanario de Jaro, which is separated from the church and can be seen on the opposite side of the road.
