For one, it has been around for a long time at about 3,000 B.C. to 4,000 B.C. The 280 square meter-cave was called Hoyop-hoyopan, a Bicolano term for \u201cblow of the wind.\u201d This huge and windy cave is filled with various shapes of rock formations, where you can use your imagination to formulate different figures inside the cave.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4648\" src=\"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/05\/h2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"537\" height=\"358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/05\/h2.jpg 650w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/05\/h2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 537px) 100vw, 537px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>Bats at the ceiling<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The cave has stood strong amidst all calamities that hit the town, making people consider it as a\u00a0safe spot and using it as a make-shift evacuation center for the townspeople. Before that, it has become a refugee camp by Filipinos during the Japanese occupation in World War II as it was used as a hospital and orphanage at that time.<\/p>\n<p>Hoyop-Hoyopan cave also served as a place where partygoers stayed at when the curfew was strictly imposed nationwide. It\u2019s better to wear comfortable shoes and clothes as the cave may need you to crawl or squeeze yourself inside to see more of what the cave offers. Included in the entrance fee that you will have to pay for is a tour guide, who will be there to share funny anecdotes about the cave and valuable information.
