Patapat Viaduct, however, is a different matter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Located in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, <strong>Patapat Viaduct<\/strong> is not just an ordinary bridge. This coastal bridge connects Maharlika Highway from Ilocos Region to its neighboring province Cagayan Valley.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10488\" src=\"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/03\/IMG_4673.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Standing 31 meters above the sea shore, Patapat Viaduct is considered as the Philippine\u2019s 5th longest bridge with its 1.3-kilometer length that snakes around the mountain edge. It was built for the purpose of preventing the problem of landslides in the area which caused vehicular accidents in the past.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10489\" src=\"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/03\/IMG_4687.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/03\/IMG_4687.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/03\/IMG_4687-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/03\/IMG_4687-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>Patapat Viaduct is considered as the 5th longest bridge in the country<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">What makes this bridge a tourist attraction is its one-of-a-kind view. Motorists passing by the bridge can get a picturesque view of the Pasaleng Bay.\u00a0 It\u2019s flanked on the other side of the West Philippine Sea, making it a perfect spot for taking photos. The Mabugabog Falls, a mini-hydro plant, can also be found along the viaduct.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Tourists can pull over at the side of the road and take photos with the mountain and sea view as their background.
