Welcome to Hinulugang Taktak!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Hinulugang Taktak gained national attention after being mentioned in Gerry Brandy\u2019s song \u201cTayo na sa Antipolo\u201d. The cool waters of the 21.5-meter-high waterfall were perfect for people who visited Antipolo and wanted to cool off after a long day of walking around the city center.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2962\" src=\"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/08\/falls.jpg\" alt=\"falls\" width=\"850\" height=\"567\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>THE ICONIC FALLS. It\u2019s hard to miss, especially if you\u2019ve heard the song Tayo na sa Antipolo.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">It was proclaimed as a national park in 1990, yet succumbed to a tourist boom. It suffered from having too much garbage and too little maintenance. It later reached a point where the smell was too much to bear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2960\" src=\"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/08\/pool.jpg\" alt=\"pool\" width=\"850\" height=\"567\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/08\/pool.jpg 850w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/08\/pool-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/08\/pool-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Restoration of the park itself is done, but it may take a few more years before people could actually swim in the stream made by the waterfall. As of 2017, the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR) has imposed fees on visitors: Adults (Php 30); students (Php 15); Foreigners (Php 100); Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities, and children below 7 years old (FREE). The use of amenities (pool, cottage, basketball court) also has fees.\u00a0 Make sure you have proper swimming attire, though, as they aim to turn it into a place that Antipolo can be proud of once more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">You can find Hinulugang Taktak in Brgy. Dela Paz, Antipolo City, Rizal. It\u2019s open during the day all week. Night swimming is not allowed. Day swimmers will not need to worry about leaving their items in the open as there are cottages available for the public.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hinulugang Taktak used to be Antipolo City&#8217;s pride and joy.
