Museo del Gale\u00f3n<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, a new immersive museum dedicated to maritime heritage<\/strong>, opened on May 1<\/strong> at SM Mall of Asia<\/span><\/span><\/strong> in Pasay.<\/p>\n

The non-profit educational institution<\/strong> explores the history of the galleon trade through interactive exhibits, large-scale installations, and historical displays, offering visitors a deeper look into one of the most significant chapters in Philippine and global maritime history.<\/p>\n

At the heart of the museum is the Gale\u00f3n Esp\u00edritu Santo<\/strong>, brought to life through immersive installations, including a nighttime experience where the ship comes alive beneath a sky of stars.<\/p>\n

Among the exhibitions visitors can explore is Returning to Manila: The Galleon Trade in Maps<\/strong>, which tells the story of one of the most fascinating episodes in history.<\/p>\n

Admission rates are Php 675 for adults<\/strong>, Php 375 for children above 2 feet<\/strong>, while children under 2 feet may enter free<\/strong>. Rates are also available at Php 375 for private school students<\/strong> and Php 275 for public school students and teachers<\/strong>, with discounted rates for senior citizens and persons with disabilities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The exhibition was mounted through collaboration with Instituto de Historia y Cultura Naval<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, Museo Naval<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, Archivo Hist\u00f3rico de la Armada Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Elcano<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, and Instituto Cervantes<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, together with the Embassy of Spain in Manila<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
