Its exhibitions were developed around creative exchange and encounters, allowing different forms and approaches to contemporary art to be presented to the public.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" data-start=\"802\" data-end=\"1064\">In <strong data-start=\"805\" data-end=\"813\">2018<\/strong>, Artinformal expanded with a new space in <strong data-start=\"856\" data-end=\"871\">Makati City<\/strong>. Their movement and adaptation become references for examining displacement and the effects of colonial conquest.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1784\" data-end=\"2050\">The paintings also look at how organisms and identities can establish roots across borders. His large-scale paintings record terrains that transform and gradually change over time.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2347\" data-end=\"2543\">The works combine images Cabangis gathers and remembers while moving through different places. Some originate from fleeting encounters, while others come from prolonged and deliberate observation. Using <strong data-start=\"2551\" data-end=\"2609\">emulsion, image transfers, and layers of acrylic paint<\/strong>, Cabangis further abstracts the landscapes through lines and geometric elements.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3202\" data-end=\"3576\">The exhibition also includes an installation created with his brother and fellow artist <strong data-start=\"3290\" data-end=\"3308\">Aaron Cabangis<\/strong>. A makeshift room constructed from hollow blocks obscures light pieces inside, with their glow visible through openings between the blocks.
