Carmel Chapel<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>Sitio Tukon, Brgy. Carmel Chapel<\/strong> in Basco exudes a warm atmosphere as it adopted the design\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">of a traditional Ivatan house made of stone walls. Cresencio Polo, O.P. Imnajbu in Uyugan, you will easily be drawn in by the serenity of San Lorenzo Ruiz Chapel, standing quietly amid palm trees and flower shrubs. San Jose de Obrero Church,\u00a0more prominently known as Ivana Church, served as the sanctuary of the people\u00a0of Ivana, Sabtang, and Uyugan when they needed it the most.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\">Sabtang Island<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Sta. Rosa de Lima Chapel <\/b>in Sabtang Island is one example of how communities help each other through\u00a0<em>bayanihan <\/em>or community spirit, which they call\u00a0<em>yaru.\u00a0<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Much like the traditional Ivatan structure, it is made of lime walls and roofed with cogon.
