Eternal Flame of Freedom in Corregidor
The Eternal Flame of Freedom is one of the prime destinations in Corregidor. It is located behind the dome of the Pacific War Memorial.
This structure is designed by a famous contemporary sculptor, Aristides Dimetrios. The 12-meter high Corten steel structure is considered to symbolize the never-ending liberty, and a commemoration of the heroic struggle of the US and Philippines to preserve freedom for future generations. What’s seems to interest everyone is that the lights of Eternal Flame are powered by Solar Energy.
