What makes Kawasan Falls a place to go to is because it is composed of three cascade stages, where you can see the rush of the ice-cold water flow down making it a sight to see. The Kawasan Falls also make up the Matutinao River System which is the barangay (barrio) where it is located. This is a popular tourist spot in the town of Badian so a lot of the locals know where it is located if in case you need to ask of its whereabouts.
One should note that there will be hiking involved in going to Kawasan Falls. The trek will only be 15 to 30 minutes from the entry point in Barangay Matutinao to Kawasan. Along the way you will appreciate its beauty even more by all the plants that make up the lush rainforest. Kawasan Falls is made up of three waterfalls, and the first one is the most crowded. The other two falls can be reached by foot and it will also only take about 15 to 30 minutes. The highest point, called “Kabukalan,” is where the fresh water goes out. It is still accessible but needs more effort in trekking compared to the first two points.
