The newest open space called the BGC Greenway Park is now open to the public as the longest urban park in Metro Manila. This 1.6 kilometer-long park, is defined as a “strip of protected open space maintained for recreational purposes.” According to the BGC website, this protected open space “serves as a utility corridor of BGC and pathway to safety in times of crisis.”
Greenway Park connects McKinley Parkway to offices and residential buildings such as Bellagio, Bonifacio Ridge, and Net Plaza. Here, you can enjoy a stroll either alone or even with pets. There are patches of green spaces perfect for lounging, picnics, Sunday markets or other functions.
The Greenway Park project is a citizen’s initiative supported by the Urban Land Institute of the Philippines, and adopted by the Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation (FBDC).
