Reading comic books is not as conventional a hobby as reading paperback novels and e-books or watching movies. But we know there are many people out there who go to great lengths to acquire the latest or missing editions of the comics they are following.<\/p>\n

In Metro Manila, there are not many comic book shops, but they aren’t difficult to find. Here are some of the trusted comic stores in the metro, where you can find many of your old favorites or discover new ones.<\/p>\n

Planet X Comic Shop<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Found inside Glorietta 4 in Makati, Planet X Comic Shop offers a wide selection of comic books, graphic novels, and manga. Planet X has become a go-to place for avid readers of DC, Marvel, and Dark Horse comics among many others. They also offer a comic subscription service wherein collectors can get a 10% discount for at least seven titles a month.<\/p>\n

Filbar\u2019s<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Filbar\u2019s is another comic store that has already established its name to many collectors in the city. They currently have ten branches and stalls in different parts of the metro. Besides DC and Marvel comics, they also sell Funko Pop! items and other geek collectibles. They also have a reservation system wherein you can pre-order available titles and collectibles.<\/p>\n

Comic Odyssey<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Comic Odyssey is a specialty comic shop selling 300 different kinds of new comics monthly. They specialize in back issues, giving you the chance to read comics dating back as far as the 1960\u2019s. Besides famous international comic books, Filipino Komiks are also available in Comic Odyssey.<\/p>\n
