As soon as the \u201c-Ber months\u201d start, people start counting down to Christmas, decorating their homes and offices with anything that relates to Christmas.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Simbang Gabi <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>Simbang Gabi\/ Misa de Gallo\/ Rooster\u2019s Mass <\/em>refers to 9 early morning (or evening) masses leading to Christmas Day. It starts on the 16<sup>th<\/sup> of December and ends on the 25<sup>th<\/sup> of December. People believe that the wishes of anyone who completes all 9 nights will come true. <em>(See: <a href=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/2016\/12\/13\/expats-guide-to-simbang-gabi\/\">Simbang Gabi<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Carolling<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Following the start of <em>Simbang Gabi, <\/em>children also start going from one house to another, singing classic Filipino and foreign Christmas Carols such as \u201cAng Pasko ay Sumapit,\u201d \u201cSilent Night,\u201d \u201cWe Wish You a Merry Christmas,\u201d and \u201cPasko na Naman.\u201d Homeowners would give any amount they wish to the carollers.
