The process is relatively straightforward, albeit a bit tedious, and is done together with the application for a <a href=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/2016\/11\/10\/expat-guide-to-overstaying\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">visa<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An application has to be process before your 59 days of allowed stay under a temporary visa are up or within the first 60 days of the calendar year if you\u2019re renewing your ACR I-Card; otherwise, you\u2019ll face jail time, a fine, or deportation.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s normally done at the same time you apply for a visa extension, but for those who would like to voluntarily apply for an ACR I-Card or renew theirs, here are the steps you need to take:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Secure and fill out an application form (<a href=\"http:\/\/immigration.gov.ph\/images\/FORMS\/VariousApplicationsForms\/4.%20Application%20Form%20for%20ACR%20I-CARD%20NEW.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.immigration.gov.ph\/images\/FORMS\/Checklist\/4AlienRegistration\/BI%20FORM%202014-08-010%20Rev%201.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">for renewal<\/a>) and attach required documents (<a href=\"http:\/\/immigration.gov.ph\/images\/FORMS\/Checklist\/4AlienRegistration\/2.%20CDR%20ACR%20I-Card%20Issuance.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.immigration.gov.ph\/images\/FORMS\/Checklist\/4AlienRegistration\/Renewal.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">for renewal<\/a>). Both forms can be downloaded through the Bureau of Immigration <a href=\"http:\/\/immigration.gov.ph\/downloads\/application-forms\">website<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Submit application with complete requirements at Window 1 of the ACR I-Card Area at the Bureau of Immigration (BI) Main Office, located at Magallanes Dr., Intramuros, Manila.<\/li>\n<li>Upon submission, the BI will check their database for any derogatory records under your name.<\/li>\n<li>Once cleared, get an Order of Payment Slip (OPS).<\/li>\n<li>Pay the required fees at the cashier:\n<ul>\n<li>I-Card Fee: US$50<\/li>\n<li>Express Fee: P500<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Submit a copy of the Official Receipt.<\/li>\n<li>Once your application has been approved, your ACR I-Card will be printed and a claim stub will be given to you.<\/li>\n<li>Present the claim stub to claim your ACR I-Card.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Make sure you bring your ACR I-Card with you at all times.
