They are, more often than not, the easiest and fastest way to go from one place to the other. It\u2019s the same here in the Philippines, though there are fewer options to go for. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3214\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/3.jpg\" alt=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>THE EVER-POPULAR MRT, officially called the Yellow Line.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The second of the three light rails, the Metro Rail Transit is the most utilized of the three lines. Also known as the Yellow Line or MRT, its signature blue ploughs daily through the stretch of EDSA. People depend on the MRT so much that if it so much as stops for a few minutes, it\u2019s immediately placed on local news. It\u2019s standardized so people won\u2019t get confused about how much they\u2019ll pay, regardless if they\u2019re using beep\u00ae or not.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>North Avenue<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Home of the Metro Rail Transit Corporation (MRTC) office, it\u2019s the first station and is closest to SM City North EDSA, TriNoma Mall, and the Veteran\u2019s Memorial Center.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Quezon Avenue<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u00a0If you work for ABS-CBN, then you should be familiar with this station. It\u2019s the closest to their studios and ELJ Building, along with rising hub Eton Centris, the Philippine Lung Center, Ninoy Aquino Parks &amp; Wildlife Center, the Quezon Memorial Circle, and the University of the Philippines \u2013 Diliman.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7765\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Centris.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Centris.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Centris-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Centris-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>GMA-Kamuning<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">If Quezon Avenue is for ABS-CBN, then Kamuning is for GMA. The GMA Network Center is located beside the station itself. It\u2019s also close to the Land Transportation Office in Quezon City, the National Kidney and Transplant Institute, and the Philippine Heart Center.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7766\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-GMA-Kamuning.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-GMA-Kamuning.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-GMA-Kamuning-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-GMA-Kamuning-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Araneta Center-Cubao<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Same with the Araneta Center-Cubao of Blue Line, it\u2019s the station you get off of when you want to take a trip up north or down south because of its proximity to Cubao. It\u2019s a lot more packed compared to its Blue Line counterpart, though, because it\u2019s along EDSA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7718\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/Araneta-Coliseum.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/Araneta-Coliseum.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/Araneta-Coliseum-290x218.jpg 290w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/Araneta-Coliseum-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/Araneta-Coliseum-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Santolan-Annapolis<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The closest station to Camp Aguinaldo (Armed Forces of the Philippines Headquarters) and Camp Crame (Philippine National Police Headquarters), but a lesser-known fact is that it is also close to the Greenhills Shopping Center.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Ortigas<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">If you\u2019re looking to visit Robinsons Galleria, the EDSA Shrine, or the office of the Department of Transportation, then this is the station to get off of.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7769\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Ortigas.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Ortigas.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Ortigas-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Ortigas-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Shaw Boulevard<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The second transport hub stop for the Yellow Line, Shaw Boulevard station, sometimes called EDSA Shaw, is where you can find buses, UV Express vans, and jeeps headed for Antipolo as well as being a stop for buses north or south of Metro Manila. It\u2019s also the closest station to SM Megamall as well as being connected to Shangri-La Plaza Mall.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7770\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Shaw.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Shaw.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Shaw-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Shaw-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Boni Avenue<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Boni Avenue is known for its row of condominiums (GA Towers, SM Light Residences), and those who stay there yet work elsewhere choose to take the MRT through this station more than the bus. It\u2019s also close to Robinsons Pioneer and the TV5 Media Center.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Guadalupe<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Not a transport hub, but it\u2019s just as packed as Cubao or Shaw Blvd. It\u2019s the station closest to the Guadalupe Church, San Carlos Seminary, and the Rockwell Business Center, home of the Power Plant Mall. It\u2019s also the drop-off point for MRT passengers looking to get on the Pasig River Ferry via the Guadalupe Port.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7767\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Guadalupe.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Guadalupe.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Guadalupe-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Guadalupe-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Buendia<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">One of two depressed (read: underground) stations, this one is preferred by people whose offices are located along Buendia Avenue in Makati City. It\u2019s also close to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) office, so if you have anything to settle there, this is the station to get off of.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Ayala<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The Yellow Line\u2019s third transport hub, it\u2019s where people working in BGC often get off so they can take the BGC Bus to work. It\u2019s also packed as much as Cubao, since this is the stop for a lot of people who work in Makati. It\u2019s also connected to SM Makati.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7764\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Ayala.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Ayala.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Ayala-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Ayala-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Magallanes<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">A station that\u2019s close to Alphaland Southgate Mall, most people might get the impression that this is the first station for the Yellow Line if you\u2019re coming from the south. It\u2019s also close to the Magallanes PNR Station.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7768\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Magallanes.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Magallanes.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Magallanes-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/MRT-Magallanes-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Taft Avenue<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Last stop for the Yellow Line, Taft Avenue Station is connected to the Green Line EDSA Station, thus closing the loop.
