Here&#8217;s a quick guide to the LRT-1 Stations from Dr. Santos (formerly Sucat) to Fernando Poe Jr. Station (formerly Roosevelt).<span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Dr. Santos (former Sucat) <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">[NEW since November 16, 2024]<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Santos Station, formerly Sucat Station, will be the link to the Las Pinas Station, Zapote Station, and Niog Station in Bacoor, Cavite, once the second phase of the LRT-1 Expansion Project took place.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Ninoy Aquino Avenue <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">[NEW since November 16, 2024]<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Need to get to NAIA Terminal 1 fast? The Ninoy Aquino Avenue Station will get you there as it is the closest stop to the airport.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>PITX <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">[NEW since November 16, 2024]<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>LRT-1&#8217;s PITX Station is linked to the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) where you can take a bus going to neighboring provinces. You may also go to the airport terminals using this station.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>MIA Road <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">[NEW since November 16, 2024]<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>City of Dreams, Okada Manila, and Solaire are just within reach when you ride the MIA Road Station. You can also get easy access to Ayala Malls Manila Bay through MIA Road.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Redemptorist-Aseana <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">[NEW since November 16, 2024]<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Finally, Aseana City in Paranaque is just a stop away as the LRT-1 Redemptorist-Aseana station opens. If you want to visit PARQAL or other retail and dining destinations in ASEANA City, this station is for you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Baclaran<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Baclaran Station is close to the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) Office and Baclaran Church. It also provides access to shopping centers, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, and SM Mall of Asia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>EDSA<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">One of four connecting stations, it\u2019s a good choice for people who want to head for the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) or hitch a ride at the Metro Rail Transit Taft Avenue Station. It is also ideal for those who want to explore Pasay City.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Gil Puyat<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Gil Puyat Station gets you close to Pasay City\u2019s transport hub for buses headed to Laguna and Batangas. Studying at the University of the Philippines \u2013 Manila? Or maybe you just fancy a trip to Robinsons Place Manila? This is where you want to get off if you want to visit SM City Manila, the Metropolitan Theater, Central Post Office, Manila City Hall, or get real close to Intramuros. It\u2019s also the closest station to the Pasig River Ferry\u2019s Lawton port.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Carriedo<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-7775\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/binondo-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/binondo.jpg 683w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/binondo-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">If you\u2019ve heard of Quiapo or Chinatown, then you\u2019ve certainly heard of Carriedo. It\u2019s also close to Isetann, an old mall still frequented by many a mall-goer. If you\u2019re looking to use the Blue Line, it\u2019s connected directly to Recto Station.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><i>Also read:\u00a0<\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/2016\/09\/19\/expats-guide-lrt2-stations\/\"><em>Expats\u2019 guide: LRT2 Stations<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Bambang<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">There\u2019s not much to look forward to at Bambang Station unless you\u2019re headed for the University of Santo Tomas (UST). You can still get off at Doroteo Jose, but Bambang is more convenient for UST students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Tayuman<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">It\u2019s closest to SM City San Lazaro, the headquarters of the Department of Health, and the ever-popular Dangwa Flower Market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Blumentritt<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Named after Dr. Jose Rizal\u2019s friend and mentor while in Europe, Blumentritt Station is close to Chinese General Hospital and the Manila North Cemetery, where several Philippine Presidents and historical figures are buried.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Abad Santos<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">It\u2019s the best station to catch a glimpse of the Chinese Cemetery or to pay a visit to Tondo, Manila.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>R. Papa<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Another station where you can get as close as possible to Tondo. It\u2019s also the last of the stations for Manila.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Avenue<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">It\u2019s close to the La Loma Cemetery, as well as a good place to get off if you\u2019re looking to go deep into Caloocan City.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Monumento<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">It used to be the last stop of the Green Line until it was extended to the next two stations. It\u2019s close to the Caloocan Cathedral and the Bonifacio Monument and used to be the closest station to Balintawak.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Balintawak<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The first of two recent additions to the Green Line, it answered people\u2019s calls for a closer station to Balintawak market and its many transportation options.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Fernando Poe Jr. (former Roosevelt)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7714\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/Roosevelt-station.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/Roosevelt-station.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/Roosevelt-station-290x218.jpg 290w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/Roosevelt-station-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/tips-guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/09\/Roosevelt-station-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Currently the last stop for the Green Line, this station puts you as close as possible to SM City North EDSA without going through the hassle that is EDSA. New routes include <strong>Redemptorist-Aseana<\/strong>, <strong>MIA Road<\/strong>, <strong>PITX<\/strong>, <strong>Ninoy Aquino Avenue<\/strong>, and <strong>Dr. Santos (formerly Sucat)<\/strong>.
