Seven Last Words or Siete Palabras<\/strong> \u2013 At three in the afternoon, the people address and recite the seven last words of Jesus followed by a moment of silence to recognize Jesus\u2019 death at the cross.<\/span><\/p>\n

Procession of Statues<\/strong> \u2013 the holy procession consists of the different churches statues being carried and it passes through the town en route back to the church. It stops three times, to give way to the salubong or meeting which are: the meeting of Christ and Mary, the wiping of Jesus\u2019 face by Veronica, and the encounter between Mary and Veronica.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pabasa or The Read<\/strong> \u2013 The Pabasa<\/em> is a night long affair where the Filipinos practice “Pasyon,” a long narrative of Christ\u2019s life, passion, death and resurrection.
