The MMDA app serves as a general traffic indicator and displays major roads in Manila and the severity of traffic in these areas. On the other hand, Waze, meanwhile, uses GPS traffic and feedback from other users to give a more on-demand, as-it-happens traffic situation in Manila. Since it functions as a social media platform for users, Waze gives up-to-date traffic advisories, hazard notices, road accidents reports and even recommendations for alternative routes.
