It is denoted by \u20b1 or written as &#8216;PHP&#8217;, &#8216;PhP&#8217;, &#8216;Php&#8217;, or &#8216;P&#8217; and is issued by Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) or the Central Bank of the Philippines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">There are three ways to get hold of Philippines peso:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>1. Through the exchange of currency <\/strong>at Money Changers &#8211; the equivalent value of your currency differs from day to day, depending on the exchange rate. Here&#8217;s where you can have your money exchanged:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u2022 Czarina \u2013 This money changer is one of the most popular in the black market because of its high exchange rate. They also offer other services aside from money exchange. They also have branches scattered across the nation. Although the exchange rate at banks is a bit lower than the black market, it still stands a good offer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>2. Through ATM withdrawal<\/strong> &#8211; You can only use your foreign ATM card in the Philippines if your bank have a branch here. As of 2016, there are 20 foreign banks operating in the country.
