Its selection includes croissants and other viennoiserie, scones, cr\u00eapes, galettes, mille-press\u00e9, cakes, and other pastries<\/strong>, alongside savory choices that make the caf\u00e9 suitable for breakfast, merienda, or a light meal.<\/p>\n

Guests can also find croissant sandwiches<\/strong>, combining the bakery\u2019s flaky laminated pastry with savory fillings. Meanwhile, its cr\u00eapes lean toward the sweeter side of the menu, while the galettes offer a savory alternative<\/strong>, reflecting the French influence behind many of By Sonja\u2019s creations.<\/p>\n

For something more filling, diners may want to try By Sonja\u2019s Tomato, Mozzarella & Prosciutto Croissant Sandwich<\/strong>, which pairs a crisp, flaky croissant with tomato, mozzarella, and prosciutto for a satisfying savory bite.<\/p>\n

Behind the caf\u00e9 is Chef Sonja Ocampo, who first developed her cake-decorating skills at the Wilton School of Cake Decorating in Illinois<\/strong> before continuing her culinary education in New York.<\/p>\n

She later completed programs in Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts at the Institute of Culinary Education<\/strong>, formerly known as Peter Kump\u2019s New York Cooking School. Her professional experience also included working in restaurant and pastry kitchens in New York before eventually returning to Manila.<\/p>\n

Ocampo went on to establish Cupcakes by Sonja in 2006<\/strong>, followed by Cakeshop by Sonja. With By Sonja, she brings that experience into a caf\u00e9 format centered on breads, laminated pastries, cr\u00eapes, savory dishes, and desserts.<\/p>\n
