When it reopened in 2014, it was the first gastropub in town: a place where people can go to and have a drink. After a year, they decided to turn it into a restaurant while still retaining some of its gastropub charm.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15476\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/02\/ground.jpg\" alt=\"ground\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/02\/ground.jpg 600w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/02\/ground-290x193.jpg 290w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The interiors are set-up in such a way that you won\u2019t feel like you\u2019re in a fancy restaurant. The restaurant is dimly lit, perfect for those who want to have a cozy setting. For a brighter dining setting, you can also choose to sit at one of the tables on the second floor.<\/p>\n<p>They specialize in bringing out the best of local ingredients, using them both in traditional ways (<em>bagnet, pinakbet, longganisa<\/em>, etc.) and in Western dishes like pasta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15478\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/02\/vigan-platter.jpg\" alt=\"vigan platter\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/02\/vigan-platter.jpg 600w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/02\/vigan-platter-290x193.jpg 290w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of their recommended dishes is the Vigan Sampler (P700), a serving of Ilocos Sur\u2019s most popular dishes: <em>bagnet<\/em> (deep-fried crispy pork belly), <em>pinakbet<\/em> (steamed mixed vegetables in fish or shrimp sauce), <em>longganisa<\/em> (Spanish sausage), pork <em>daldalem<\/em> (pork liver in vinegar and soy sauce, also known as <em>igado<\/em>), and a bowl of hot <em>sinanglaw<\/em> (boiled cow innards with <em>kamias<\/em> and bile).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15477\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/02\/rusangis-pasta.jpg\" alt=\"rusangis pasta\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/02\/rusangis-pasta.jpg 600w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/02\/rusangis-pasta-290x193.jpg 290w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They also have the Rusangis pasta with cream sauce (P190), a simple pasta dish with rusangis, a local shellfish, as its main ingredient. Most of their dishes are good for two, with process ranging from P200 to 400 per serving.<\/p>\n<p>You can find Caf\u00e9 Bigaa at Mena Crisologo St., Brgy. 2, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
