Fika is a Swedish term which means \u201chaving a coffee break with family and friends.\u201d Using this idea, Hilbert and Jen have turned Fika into what might be Coron\u2019s best caf\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Fika has something for everyone: from pastas, cakes, and pastries to set meals that every Filipino would be familiar with, there\u2019s bound to be something for you at Fika. Their signature drinks are all original, using locally sourced coffee beans like organic <em>Barako<\/em> and Caf\u00e9 Mauro.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Coffee, cakes, and pastries are a big hit with their Asian customers. Some of their best sellers with Asians include the blueberry waffles with syrup and their cappuccino. Their best-seller amongst Western guests is their chicken pork adobo (marinated in vinegar and soy sauce). Using ingredients found on the island, Fika turns this Filipino classic into something that\u2019s uniquely Coron. The sauce is creamy yet stays true to how adobo should be: salty but not overpowering. Their take on the classic mango shake, called Mango Bravo, does the fruit justice. Made from ripe mangoes, it\u2019s sweet and tangy compliments any of their dishes, even their cakes and pastries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">A drink you shouldn\u2019t miss is their honey-tamarind iced tea. An original concoction by Hilbert, it has the right levels of sweet and sour from local honey and tamarind that can\u2019t be compared to other iced teas on the island.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Fika Indulgence can be found at the second floor of Tablason Bldg in Bancuang, Coron, Palawan.
