La Casita Mercedes started off as a family residence in 1939, back when Makati wasn\u2019t the Makati we know today. It underwent renovations back in mid-2012, and was reopened to the public in 2015. It\u2019s probably the only place in Makati where you can get a sense of what it would\u2019ve felt like to live in the Philippines pre-WWII, with a few modern niceties.<\/span><\/p>\n

Located in the heart of Poblacion, La Casita is perfect for anyone looking to explore Makati and its neighboring cities. Century City and Rockwell Center, two of the posh shopping centers in Makati, are only 10-15 minutes away on foot. The row of restaurants and bars along Burgos and Polaris Streets are less than 5 minutes away, while Makati\u2019s Central Business District is no more than 10 minutes away on wheels.<\/span><\/p>\n
