  • Fukudaya Japanese Dining in BGC Serves All-New Unagi Dishes Starting this August
  • It’s always so exciting when our favorite restaurants bring something new to the table. May it be a new branch to visit, a new promo to enjoy or new dishes waiting to be tasted, the thought of fresh offerings keep us on our toes— just like Fukudaya Japanese Dining and its new dishes this August!

Fukudaya opened its doors on November 2016 to serve guests from Taguig and neighboring cities.

The House of Fukuda, Fukudaya, brings the customs of Japan to the Philippines by offering unagi or freshwater eel during what they consider the hottest month of the year. With this, Fukudaya is serving this delicacy in 2 different ways.

Try Fukudaya’s all-new Unagi Kabayaki Don (Php 830), a hearty serving of grilled, perfectly seasoned eel on a steaming bed of fluffly white rice that will surely tease your tastebuds with a burst of flavors, keeping your tummy happy for lunch.

However, if you want to try something a bit lighter, Fukudaya also serves the Unagi Nigiri Sushi (Php 830), made with small balls of rice and topped with generous slices of seasoned unagi that will leave you wanting for more.

    Why Unagi?

While freshwater eels are known to be the slimy, unattractive creatures underwater, eels are rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, D, and E that are vital in maintaining physical strength.

Eels also contain zinc and calcium, as well as omega-3 essential fatty acids such as DHA and EPA that are good for the heart, skin, and vision, among others, making it the best choice if you want an alternative to pork or beef.

Therefore, unagi or eels are just some of the best offerings of Fukudaya this season, making the Japanese restaurant your go-to place for authentic and healthy Japanese cuisine.
