Michelin-starred street food stall Hawker Chan is coming to Manila this 2017
Hawker Chan, a Singapore street-food chain which was awarded a Michelin star in 2016, is coming to Manila this year.
This 2017, although final location and opening date have not been announced yet, Hawker Chan will be brought to the Philippines by the Foodee Global Concepts group, the company that brought Todd English, Pound, llaollao and FOO’D by Davide Oldani. Hawker Chan will offer the signature chicken dishes Chef Chan currently serves at his stall in Singapore’s Chinatown.
Other international brands that they will be bringing in include Kam’s Roast Goose from Hong Kong and Tsuta Ramen from Japan.
About Hawker Chan
Born in Malaysia, owner and founder Chef Chan Hon Meng started working at the tender age of 15 and decided early on that he wanted to be a chef. This dream is what swayed him to fly to Singapore in the 1980s and train under a Hong Kong chef, where he learned how to prepare soya sauce chicken. In 2009, Chef Chan opened his first hawker stall, named Liao Fan, at Chinatown Complex–the largest open-air hawker centre in Singapore.
