EIGASAI 2017 (ongoing until August 29)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

20 films sure are a lot! If you haven\u2019t checked out all 20 Japanese films in this year\u2019s EIGASAI\u2014or if you haven\u2019t any at all!\u2014then you better take off this weekend and head to any of the screening venues near you. Bring some popcorn and watch for free at the CCP Dream Theater (Pasay City) or UP Diliman Film Institute (Quezon City). You can also watch at the Shang Cineplex Cinema (Mandaluyong City) for Php 100.<\/p>\n

Cinemalaya Film Festival (August 4 \u2013 13)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Cinemalaya is one of, if not the most anticipated film festival in the Philippines, showcasing cinematic works by local independent filmmakers. This year\u2019s film screenings will start on August 4 and will run until August 13 in CCP and various Ayala malls. There will be nine full-length films and, instead of the usual ten, 12 short films that will be competing for the grand awards and in various categories.<\/p>\n
