World-renowned soprano Sumi Jo is set to come back in Manila on February 7, 2017 and perform at the Meralco Theater in Pasig City to pay tribute to legendary diva Maria Callas\u2019 40th death anniversary.<\/p>\n

Sumi Jo is renowned for the precision, agility, and warmth of her voice. She was recognized by Maestro Herbert von Karajan who described her voice as a \u201cvoice from above.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since then, she performed with the world\u2019s leading conductors in the most famous opera houses and concert halls and became a\u00a0Grammy\u00a0Award winner.<\/p>\n

In fact, her rendition of \u201cSimple Song\u201d\u00a0from the film \u201cYouth\u201d\u00a0was nominated for the 2016 Oscar for Best Original Song.<\/p>\n
