Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia, Negros Occidental isn\u2019t usually on the map for having big, sprawling gardens. But once the province\u2019s Provincial Environment Week kicks into high gear, the resort comes to life with its annual Mudpack Festival, <\/strong>which will be held from today, June 18, to Sunday, June 19.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Mudpack Festival will revolve around the theme \u201cArt for Earth.\u201d The festival is a true celebration of being one with nature, as well as a way to celebrate the oldest existing mountain resort in the island of Negros.<\/span><\/p>\n

The festivities kick into high gear on Saturday with a tribal dance competition and a drumbeating competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday will see some of the province\u2019s best dancers going hard during the Solo Dance Competition. The highlight of the event, the Body Painting Competition, will cap off the 20th<\/sup> Mudpack Festival.<\/span><\/p>\n
