Film Institute at University of the Philippines Diliman. He also studied filmmaking in Paris, France and earned his Master of Arts degree in Cinema Studies at the New York University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">In his talks, Deocampo will discuss different facets of Philippine cinema. On June 11, Saturday at 3:00 pm \u201cIyakan at Sampalan: Melodrama in Philippine Cinema\u201d will tackle about the queen of Filipino movie genres that is melodrama.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">On June 18, Saturday at 3: 00 pm, the historical aspect of Philippine cinema will be discussed as \u201cBayani at Kaaway: Historical Film of Philippine Cinema\u201d will tell about heroes and traitors and how they spark relevance in Philippine cinema.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u201cMainstream vs. Indie: Philippine Cinema at the Crossroads\u201d on June 25 at 3:00 pm will talk about the relations of commercial cinema and independent filmmaking.
