After the success of is initial run last year, Teatro Europa<\/a> comes back this year with table reads running from July 16 to 30, while full video performances and re-runs will be streamed throughout August and September 2021 via European Union Delegation in Manila’s official Teatro Europa Facebook page.<\/p>\n

Sixteen European theatre plays from famous playwrights from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, and Sweden were carefully curated with a focus on comedy, tragedy, drama, and romance and will be acted by students from different universities in the country.<\/p>\n

Currently, the \u201cTeatro Europa, The Second Edition\u201d remains a virtual theater festival. However, the EU Delegation in Manila said it will hold a limited physical performance in the walled city of Intramuros later this month.<\/p>\n

A series of webinars with prominent theatre directors will also be held during the Teatro Europa season to inspire discussions on the similarities, intersections, and differences between Philippine and European Theaters.<\/p>\n
