{"id":29087,"date":"2020-08-29T11:30:33","date_gmt":"2020-08-29T03:30:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/?p=29087"},"modified":"2020-08-28T11:46:47","modified_gmt":"2020-08-28T03:46:47","slug":"jfm-and-met-to-launche-built-environment-an-alternative-guide-to-japan-travel-exhibition-this-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/2020\/08\/29\/jfm-and-met-to-launche-built-environment-an-alternative-guide-to-japan-travel-exhibition-this-september\/","title":{"rendered":"Built Environment: An Alternative Guide to Japan Travel Exhibition to Launch This September"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Japan Foundation, Manila (JFM) and the Metropolitan Museum of Manila, in cooperation with Embassy of Japan in the Philippines,\u00a0has officially unveiled\u00a0<\/span><b>Built Environment: An Alternative Guide to Japan.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Build Environment: An Alternative Guide to Japan is a\u00a0traveling exhibition\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">that will be physically exhibited from <strong>September 1 to 30, 2020<\/strong>\u00a0at the <strong>Metropolitan Museum of Manila <\/strong>and will be launched during an online webinar and virtual tour on September 1.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-29088\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/08\/Exhibit-Poster.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"805\" height=\"1208\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The exhibit\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">presents a rarely considered aspect of Japan, taking the built environment of the various of regions of a country that is geographically diverse and often struck by natural disasters, with the aim of examining how Japanese people have engaged and struggled with the natural environment and how they have carried on and created locality. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The exhibition features photographs, texts, and videos to introduce a total of 80 buildings, civil engineering projects, and landscapes which extends from the modern era of the late 19th century to the present, and geographically, it includes at least one offering from each of Japan\u2019s 47 prefectures.
